On 02.10 - 04.10.2026 in Chernsvtsi will shine The Code of Chernivtsi Audiovisual Art Installation for the City's 618th Anniversary by author Mykola Kabluka and Expolight.

The art installation will be available for viewers from 20:00 to 23:00 on the facade of The Chernivtsi National University which is the former Residence of Bukovinian and Dalmatian Metropolitans (UNESCO).

Specifically for this project artist, lighting designer, Expolight founder and art director Mykola Kabluka created unique original visual content - featuring large-scale 3D mapping - along with an original sound design. Light, graphics, architecture and sound work in unison transforming the facade into a living space where artistic imagery comes to life.

"The Code of Chernivtsi" is an artistic attempt to sense the very code of the city - a place where diverse cultures, traditions, art, science and education have interacted for generations. The project’s narrative is structured as a journey from the city’s natural and cultural origins to themes of creativity, knowledge, innovation and the future.

Through large-scale 3D mapping, light, graphics, architecture and sound merge into a unified audiovisual story that comes to life. The show lasts approximately six minutes and runs on a continuous loop.

While visiting Chernivtsi do not forget to visit another of the most interesting tourist attractions of the city - Nicholas Cathedral (Drunk Church).
