On 02.07.2026 at Lviv Rynok Square will shine Light Installation Soul - Mykola Kabluka's light installation based on a specially designed optical system with custom handmade glass filters and a caustic laser.

As part of the Lviv Urban Forum - one of the main events in Ukraine in the field of architecture, urbanism and spatial development - the light art installation "Soul" by the Ukrainian artist and lighting designer Mykola Kabluka will come to life for the second time on the facade of the Lviv City Hall.

Lviv residents and guests of the city will be able to see the light art installation at 22:00 - 22:30 on Rynok Square - in the very heart of Lviv.

The author of the art installation is the Ukrainian artist, lighting designer, founder and art director of the Expolight company Mykola Kabluka, who, as part of the Lviv Urban Forum, acted as a co-organizer and lecturer of the workshop on creating a lighting master plan for Lviv, the results of which were presented during the forum.

"Soul" is an author's light art installation in which innovative technologies become a means of artistic expression. It is based on a specially designed optical system with custom handmade glass filters and a caustic laser, which create unique light textures. Their constant variability symbolizes the light of the soul of the Ukrainian people - their creativity, uniqueness and continuous desire to create.

The installation is complemented by an author's musical composition, created based on the frequencies of the electroencephalogram of a person who dreams. It enhances the emotional perception of light and immerses the viewer in a state of contemplation and inner peace.

In May, "Soul" was first shown in Lviv, but this time the audience will see the full author's version of the art installation - with an updated light composition, specially created sound accompaniment and a complete technological system. The show in Lviv will be the first public presentation of the new version of the project before its international presentation as part of the London Design Festival 2026.
