On 22.05.2026 Oleg Antonov State Aviation Museum announced that the aircraft Antonov AN-140 UR-140004 will be the new exhibit of Antonov aircrafts collection and started charity tours at Kyiv Aviation Training Hangar.

The aircraft Antonov AN-140 is a Ukrainian regional aircraft created by Antonov JSC whose first flight took place in 1997. After transportation to the Oleg Antonov State Aviation Museum this aircraft will become the only surviving Antonov AN-140 in the museum collection of Ukraine.

By starting charity tours at Kyiv Aviation Training Hangar the museum team plan to collect the funds of 75000 UAH as cost of transportation of the aircraft Antonov AN-140 UR-140004 from Antonov Plant to the Oleg Antonov State Aviation Museum.

From today all visitors and aviation fans who are visiting Kyiv Aviation Training Hangar and buying an entrance ticket online are participants of this charity initiative.

Also anyone could donate any amount for this project as for the work of the hangar tour guide.

For Oleg Antonov State Aviation Museum this is an opportunity to preserve a part of the history of Ukrainian aircraft construction in a real museum space accessible to future generations.

The date of transportation of Antonov AN-140 UR-140004 to the museum will be announced as soon as will be collected necessary amount of funds.

Antonov AN-140 UR-140004 History

The regional aircraft Antonov AN-140 (tail number UR-14004, serial number 36525302008) was built in 2003 and the same year was delivered to former Odessa Airlines and subsequently operated by Aeromost Kharkiv and Motor Sich Airlines.

This Antonov AN-140 was written off after the aircraft made an emergency landing in Kyiv without a deployed front landing gear (flight Ivano-Frankivsk - Kyiv) in 2008 and was stored in a non-flying condition for a long time on the territory of the Antonov Plant in Kyiv.

After repairs in 2009 operation of Antonov AN-140 (tail number UR-14004) was not resumed.
