On 30.08 - 07.09.2026 in Black Rock City, Nevada, USA will be presented the Armor Hero Sculpture which is the Ukrainian artist Zakhar Zakharov's Art for Burning Man 2026.

The Armor Hero art object commemorates those who left civilian life to defend the freedom of Ukraine and its people.

It embodies a warrior-defender, originally developed by 3D artist Zakhar Zakharov based on a concept by Thomas Wievegg.

In 2022, Zakhar left to defend his homeland and did not return. To honor his memory his family (including his cousin) and a team of artists brought his work to life in the Black Rock Desert.

The installation manifests a futuristic guardian in blue and yellow, symbolizing courage, memory and resilience. The figure stands on an illuminated octagonal base resembling tree roots, expressing connection to family, community and homeland. Together, they form an axis mundi - an enduring structure that carries memory and the human spirit forward.

The key symbolic words about this art object: "They chose Courage. We carry the Memory".
