In 2003 Soviet cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog" was named best animated film of all time in a survey of 140 critics and animators from around the world.

An interesting fact. According to the director's cartoon Yuri Norstein when artist-cartoonist drew Francesca Yarbusova Hedgehog, he did it not work. Director Norstein did not know how it should look like but said: "Francesca, the two frames on the screen - and it should print. So it should be clear in silhouette." And she drew, painted, painted - deep drawing was all in the cart. It really was a drama. Cartoon already started filming - filmed leaf that falls from a tree and shot the horse which appears from the mist and slill no Hedgehog hero. Can you imagine shooting the movie started and there is no main character. And when the director's asking "Where the Hedgehog? Where the Hedgehog?" Yuri Norstein would say, "Almost done." The only person who knew that this was not a hedgehog character - Alexander Zhukovsky.
