Kolomyya Pysanka Festival 2013 in Kolomyya will be an open exhibition of Pysanka eggs (Painted Easter Eggs) and sale of various kinds of arts and crafts by art masters and craftsmen. With each year the festival takes more and more new guests from Ukraine and other countries of the World. For Kolomyya city it is very important event to present Pysanka Museum (Easter Egg Museum), masters of egg painting, Ukrainian traditions, folk beliefs and Christian traditions. All these elements are the basis of the festival. Kolomyya Pysanka Festival 2013 expect a considerable number of national ethnographic music groups and solo artists. Each branch of Ivano-Frankivsk region will present their traditions of Easter celebration. The main event will take place on stage at Pysanka Museum (Easter Egg Museum). In the festival will be attended by participants and tourists from Donetsk, Zaporozhye as well as with neighboring countries - Poland, Hungary and Romania. Preservation and promotion of Ukrainian traditions such as Pysanka (Easter egg) painting and decorative art is the main objective of the festival. It is important to convey secrets of crafts and Pysanka (Easter egg) painting in particular to the younger generation. The festival is intended to attract tourists not only from Ukraine but foreign connoisseurs of Pysanka (Easter egg) painting art. For guests within two days of Kolomyya Pysanka Festival 2013 will be a lot of interesting master classes and various exhibitions that will satisfy the most demanding visitors.
