State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine adds More Staff and Growing |
The State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine (SATD or DART) invites professionals to join the team working on the development of the tourism industry of Ukraine, the implementation of modern approaches and the strengthening of international cooperation. At the moment, the most important event organized by the agency was Ukraine's stand participation in ITB Berlin 2026. In other words AITO Ukraine asks for important Ukraine Tourism Potential Promotion abroad in other countries on the basis of consistent government funding. The official tourist portal Ukraine.UA is not working anymore so this issue is still relevant. In my opinion Association of Incoming Tour Operators of Ukraine (AITO Ukraine) has an important vision for the future as Ukraine will become a very popular destination for international tourists once peace comes to our land. The question is only - will we be prepared or just follow the flow of circumstances. It is a great chance to invite millions of people to come to Ukraine if to start to make it in advance once the Ukraine is still in news headlines. The European Union is more concentrated on bringing tourists to visit their attractions and Ukraine is unlikely to receive the EU funds for tourism development, even in the form of grants until Ukraine becomes a part of the European Union (2030 or around that year). Right now it is important to prepare the programs with key priorities for international tourists to visit and Ukraine best attractions, create and qualify tourism specialists and tour guides, collect quality fleet of buses and build tourism infrastructure. If not to be prepared - European tour operators will gain on Ukraine tours popularity just because they could provide great quality European service which their tourists are used to and the trust of the past successful tours. As Walt Disney said, what a person saw even in the background becomes more trustable and appealing when it appears in the focus of the scene. State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine History The State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine (SATD or DART) was established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on December 4, 2019 as a central executive body for the implementation of state policy in the field of tourism and resorts and is subordinate to the Ministry of Infrastructure. The Head of DART, Maryana Oleskiv, who in 2016 - 2018 was the Director of the Lviv City Tourism Development Center, has headed the agency since its active formation, implementing the tourism industry development strategy. From January 21, 2025 to April 18, 2025, Yulia Kasyan served as the Head of The State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine, and from April 18, 2025, the agency is under the management of Natalia Tabaka, who previously headed the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Lviv Regional State Administration in 2017 - 2023. The First Deputy Head of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine is Taras Lozynskyi, who in 2018 - 2023 held senior positions in the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Lviv Regional Administrative Organization, and in 2023 - 2025 was the Acting Head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Lviv Regional Administrative Organization. Head of the Department of Tourism Development and Digitalization Oleksandr Vesheleni joined the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine in August 2025, before that he headed the position in 2019 - 2025 as Director of the Department of Vinnytsia Marketing and Tourism and created the most famous project Camino Podolico, based on the historical route Camino de Santiago of France and Spain. The information about other key tourism specialists of The State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine has not manifested itself, we hope to see their achievements in the near futurу.
