On 26.04.2026 in Kyiv Ukrainian National Chernobyl Museum will reopen after two years of restoration with new Kyiv activity to climb up to 30 meters of Podil Fire Lookout Tower to enjoy the city in bird's eye view.

The reopening of the museum is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.

Restoration work on the Ukrainian National Chernobyl Museum building began in October 2024 with archaeological research. After 26.04.2025 on the Day of Remembrance of the Chernobyl Disaster the museum was temporarily closed to visitors.

The Ukrainian National Chernobyl Museum in Kyiv was opened on April 26, 1992 and is located in the Podilskyi district at 1 Khoryva Lane in the premises of the former fire station built in 1910.

Just remember that Ukrainian National Chernobyl Museum is a part of Chernobyl HBO Series Filming Locations route in Kyiv in addition to Chernobyl tour and Chernobyl helicopter tour.
