On 27.03.2026 in Kyiv Podil was installed The Statue of Liberty - the copy of the monument on Liberty Island in New York Harbor as a symbol of US - Ukraine partnership and a new Kyiv tourist attraction.

The location of The Statue of Liberty is near Kyiv Fairy Wheel on Kontraktova Square.

A copy of the statue of human height is placed on a pedestal and wrapped in the yellow and blue Ukrainian flag.

The new Kyiv tourist attraction will be especially interesting to visit by US citizens for whom The Statue of Liberty ("Liberty Enlightening the World") installed in 1886 is a real symbol of America.

It is the fourth copy of New York Statue of Liberty in Ukraine - the first one was created in Lviv in 1891 on the roof-top of The Galician Savings Bank (Galicyjska Kasa Oszczędności) which building now is Lviv Museum of Ethnography and Crafts in Lviv city center.

The second one as The Statue of Liberty mini-sculpture was installed in Uzhhorod in 2011.

The third statue was installed in 2013 in the park on the place of former Lenin Monument in front of PJSC "Volyn-Cement" in Zdolbuniv, Rivne region - the cement manufacturer in Ukraine which is a part of German Dyckerhoff AG - the company which won a tender for the supply of cement for the foundation of the original The Statue of Liberty in New York.

US citizens are welcome to visit Kyiv for a new tourist attraction!
