This green zone symbolizes the long-term partnership between Kyiv and Vilnius and was created with the financial support of the Lithuanian capital. Vilnius Square with Lithuania Footbridge were officially opened by the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko together with the Mayor of Vilnius, Valdas Benkunskas and the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine, Inga Stanitė-Tolochkienė. The bridge was built across the reservoir based on the motifs of the King Mindaugas Bridge in Vilnius. This project was implemented in partnership between the capitals of Ukraine and Lithuania. For its implementation in 2026 the Vilnius City Hall with the assistance of the State Institution "Central Project Management Agency" allocated 600 000 Euros. The new beautiful green zone symbolizes the long-term partnership between Kyiv and Vilnius and the support of Ukraine by our partners. The Mayor of Kyiv together with the Mayor of Vilnius and the Ambassador of Lithuania to Ukraine walked through the new square and Obolon Island to the Kyiv Wave Bridge. The exact GPS coordinates of the new Vilnius Square with Lithuania Footbridge: 50°30'55.2"N 30°31'06.7"E. Thus, a beautiful route was created for walks along the Dnieper River, starting from Natalka Park and the Historical Caisson, continuing along the Obolonska Embankment, then the Lithuanian Bridge and Vilnius Square, Natalka Island and the Kyiv Wave Bridge, completing the circular route with the Natalka Park.
