On 08.04.2026 in Kyiv was announced the project of the Golden Fountain on the site of the former Lenin Monument on the intersection of Tarasa Shevchenko Blvd and Khreschatyk St just opposite of Bessarabian Market.

After the Lenin Monument was dismantled in 2013 this location did not become a full-fledged pedestrian space. Today anyone can only cross the road here through an underground passage - but this is a barrier for people in wheelchairs, fathers with children's carriages and older people.

The key element of the city space will be the Golden Fountain which construction will be realized with the support of patrons.

The project involves the refurbishment of manual ground connections, renovation of the surface, landscaping, lighting and the area for a short renovation.

As a result the new pedestrian space and a tourist attraction meet the needs of people in the center of the Ukrainian capital.

The new Golden Fountain space will be a great additional location for tourists to visit with Bessarabian Market and Bessarabka Market Food Court.

The implementation of the new project takes some time and hope the opening of it will be this year.
