On 14.08.2025 the new exhibit Antonov AN-2P, serial number 1G11749, tail number UR-02438, built in 1970 at WSK PZL Mielec plant, Poland is joined the collection of Oleg Antonov State Aviation Museum.

During Soviet Union period, she was operated as part of Ukrainian Department of Aeroflot, and later, until 1998, belonged to Ukraine Airlines. In 2010, the aircraft was purchased by British investor Richard Spinks with the ambitious goal of flying by Antonov AN-2 to the USA and organizing sightseeing flights over Grand Canyon.

However, the events of 2013–2014 in Ukraine radically changed the plans. During the transfer flight, the aircraft Antonov AN-2P made an intermediate landing at Borodyanka Airfield and remained there for eleven years. During this time, circumstances have changed radically - instead of the American sky, the plane got a chance to return to its homeland and become part of the avaiation museum exhibition.

In 2025, Antonov AN-2P was officially transferred to the avaiation museum funds - thanks to the support of Public Organization "Association for Development of Aviation of Ukraine" and its President Oleksandr Badrudinov.

After preparatory work, the plane was transported to the museum, where join the exhibition of other Antonov aircrafts - Antonov AN-2, AN-24B, AN-24T, AN-26, AN-30, AN-71.

Soon visitors and guests of Kyiv will have the opportunity to see this unique Antonov AN-2P in the exhibition when Oleg Antonov State Aviation Museum will re-open to public again.
