On 03.02.2021 in Kyiv, Ukraine St Sophia Cathedral was visited by Emine Erdogan, First Lady of Turkey and Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine with presentation of audio guided tour in Turkish language.

The first ladies were accompanied by Maryana Oleskiv, head of State Agency for Tourism Development in Ukraine and Director of National Sanctuary Complex "Sophia of Kyiv" Nelya Kukovalska.

From now every tourist of St Sophia Cathedral who has a regular smartphone can use the audio guide in Turkish language.

Tourists from Turkey just need to open the camera and point it at QR code. Such QR-codes are located both in St Sophia Cathedral and on the territory of National Sanctuary Complex "Sophia of Kyiv". They are easy to find on information stands.

By QR-code sutomatically download audio files:

- in English
- from now - in Turkish.

We hope that the visit of Emine Erdogan, First Lady of Turkey of St Sophia Cathedral (UNESCO) will be a good example for all Turkish ladies who actually plan a trip in Kyiv and Ukraine!

Just few days before on 01.02.2022 Boris Johnson, UK Prime Minister also visited St Sophia Cathedral with guided tour leading by Kyiv tour guide Ganna Gorodetska.

Also on 16.02.2022 Tomasz Grodzki, Speaker of Senate of Republic of Poland visit St Sophia Cathedral with guided tour.

Recall on 30.05.2018 President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited St Sophia Cathedral and National Sanctuary Complex "Sophia of Kyiv" as well with guided tour leading by Kyiv German speaking tour guide Pavlo Miadzel.
