On 01.02.2022 in Kyiv, Ukraine St Sophia Cathedral was visited by Boris Johnson, UK Prime Minister and Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine with guided tour leading by Kyiv tour guide Ganna Gorodetska.

The distinguished guests were accompanied by Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko and Director of National Sanctuary Complex "Sophia of Kyiv" Nelya Kukovalska.

The leaders of United Kingdom and Ukraine got acquainted with the unique monuments on the territory of the reserve, history of St Sophia Cathedral, inspected the mosaics and frescoes that decorate its interior and made an entry in the book of honorary guests.

Kyiv tour guide Ganna Gorodetska provided comprehensive and interesting information about the history of St. Sophia Cathedral so Boris Johnson, UK Prime Minister was very impressed of the guided tour.

We hope that the visit of Prime Minister of United Kingdom Boris Johnson of St Sophia Cathedral (UNESCO) will be a good example and motivation idea for all UK citizens to travel in Kyiv and Ukraine!

Just few days later on 03.02.2022 Emine Erdogan, First Lady of Turkey was visited St Sophia Cathedral with presentation of audio guide in Turkish language.

Also on 16.02.2022 Tomasz Grodzki, Speaker of Senate of Republic of Poland visit St Sophia Cathedral with guided tour.

Recall on 30.05.2018 President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited St Sophia Cathedral and National Sanctuary Complex "Sophia of Kyiv" as well with guided tour leading by Kyiv German speaking tour guide Pavlo Miadzel.
