On 30th of October 2018 in Odessa Biopark was born Rothschild Giraffe Anseniy - the first baby of giraffes Vasya and Vasilisa in their family history.

The baby giraffe was born on the night of October 29-30, 2018 - 175 cm tall and weighing 50 kg. Every day the giraffe adds 2.5 centimeters in height.

Today Rothschild Giraffes are less than 700 left in the wild so the newborn Arseniy is a great value for preserving its species. This is the second new born giraffe in Ukraine.

The first one Giraffe Vitalik was born in Zoo XII Months near Kiev on 12th of October 2017.

Soon the baby giraffe can be seen with mom and dad in Odessa Biopark.
