On 25th of November 2014 at 18:00 will begin Vinnytsia Adolphe Sax Festival 2014 in Vinnytsia College of Culture and Arts named Leontovich.

Best saxophonists of the city gather to witness the respect to inventor of one of the most popular instruments - saxophone.

This year marks 200 years since the birth of inventor of saxophone - Belgian Adolphe Sax. This event is celebrated worldwide by concerts, festivals and competitions.

On Vinnytsia Adolphe Sax Festival 2014 will perform numerous well-known saxophonists: Vladimir Stratiychuk, Vasil Zhurbenko, Eugene Popel, Alexander Ostapov, Constantine Yaroviy, Sergey Makarov, music group "Cherry Jam" of Vinnytsa Art School "Cherry" and big band of Vinnytsia Regional College of Culture and Arts.

Over 200 years of life saxophone quickly gained popularity due to the specific sound and tremendous opportunities of expression. Now saxophone is a versatile tool that can do everything.

At Vinnytsia Adolphe Sax Festival 2014 tourists and guests of the city will learn about the evolution of saxophone and hear brightest academic and jazz compositions on saxophone.

The festival will present a newly Vinnitsa Saxophone Quartet. In the lobby of the college held an exhibition of young artists on the theme "200 years of inventor of saxophone Adolphe Sax".
