On 19th of May 2013 on Chaika Airport near Kiev started first stage of Ukrainian Drift Championship 2013 - drift racing competition between professional drift drivers from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova and other countries.

Drifting is extreme driving maneuvers. Its distinctive feature is to apply enough power to the rear wheels and break traction from slipping or drifting during acceleration of a car. The drifting is necessary to maintain a turn using almost full car capacity combining it with braking and cornering with accurate resistance.
