Ukrainian Language School is a experienced school in Kiev to study Ukrainian as a foreign language with intensive one, two and three weeks Ukrainian language courses.

We propose for our students:

- Professionalism: Our teachers are masters and candidates of Philological Sciences with experience of work both in Ukraine and abroad for more than seven years. Also our teachers frequently improve their language and teaching skills.

We have one, two and there week intensive courses in our school. They are based on modern methods of teaching foreign languages. Lessons are focused on the oral communication and skills development. Our students listen to ukrainian texts on every lecture.

There are day and evening intensive courses. Our students communicate with native speakers and with each others, they learn new words for odinary situations within the framework of this program.

There are two main parts in learning Ukrainian language with our teachers - interactive learning process and creative casual atmosphere.

Olena Demchenko – Coordinator ULS Kyiv

My first education is a Master degree of “Ukrainian Language and Culture” at the Taras Shevchenko University in Kyiv. After that, I did a second degree in law, as well as the Taras Shevchenko University.

Currently I teach Ukrainian language at the Aviation College in Kyiv, I coordinate the project of the ULS in Kyiv and teach Ukrainian via Skype.

My favorite quotation is: “Words are used to express the meaning” (Confucius).

Viktoria Sokha

I attained my first Master’s degree in the Ukrainian language and literature at the Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv, Ukraine.

My second studies I took up in “German as a foreign language” at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mayence, Germany.

For a few years I live and teach Ukrainian und German in Germany. In a day-to-day life and at work I don’t get to know only about many diverse cultures but I represent my own culture.

I mean, nothing connects so well as a smile and a well-prepared national dish.

Oksana Yakymenko

Doctor of philology. Lecturer in Ukrainian studies for foreigners at Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv.

Author of 20 scientific articles, participant in Ukrainian and international conferences.

Students are always interested and attentive to my studies because teaching method makes learning as a fascinating game that helps memorize a large number of words in Ukrainian language! Study of Ukrainian language as a foreign language becomes a useful and interesting exercise for every student!

Hanna Shchokan

I graduated in the Master studies of Ukrainian language and literature with honours at the Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv, Ukraine.

I’m admitted to the chair of language history and stylistics, to become a doctorate.

Teaching experience I gained during my doctorate and as a head of a reading group in Boyarka’s cultural house. I worked in the field of culture, politics and mass media.

Currently I work as a journalist at the catholic media center. I like to travel, snowboarding and I’m interested in literature.
