In August of 2006 in Donetsk, Ukraine for the first time in CIS was opened monument to the legendary British Rock Band "The Beatles" (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr).

"The Beatles" monument is set at the entrance to a student's fast food cafe "Liverpool". This days the area close to "The Beatles" monument is already a British quarter in Donetsk with classic red phone booths, hotel, restaurant and cafe "Liverpool" as well as other items and decoration in English style.

Two-meter figures of musicians created by Kharkiv sculptor Vladimir Antipov of plastic and painted in bronze. The author of "The Beatles" monument looked through all performances anthology of "The Beatles" in order to achieve maximum similarity with Fabulous Four From Liverpool (Fab Four).

The band members on clothes and hairstyles correspond to 1963-1964 years except John Lennon who is depicted wearing glasses and a hair sample of 1967-1968 years. John Lennon is thrown forward with his hand, with his guitar behind his back - as in the video for the song "Hello Goodbye" he parodied Elvis Presley. Ringo Starr sits with tilt to the side.

However "The Beatles" monument was not without incident - on the four-stringed bass guitar of Paul McCartney there are six tuning pegs (should be four) and the guitar of John Lennon have no tuning pegs at all.

Mosaic wall behind "The Beatles" monument is decorated as a flag of UK (Great Britain). In the sculpture pedestal mounted audio system which play most popular songs of "The Beatles". At night "The Beatles" monument is illuminated.
