On 21st - 22nd of February 2015 at National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life will take place Pyrohiv Shrovetide 2015 - everyone's favorite bright and cheerful holiday, full of folk customs and rituals.

At 12:00 on the territory of "Middle Dnieper" of National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life visitors will witness the reconstruction of ancient rite of "Kolodiy" that our ancestors believed the god of marriage, love, health and harmony.

At 12:30 folk ensembles from all over the country start their holiday performances. Also at Song Festival Grounds museum visitors will expect competition on the balance beam, horseback riding, tug of war, power competitions and if the snow falls - sleigh rides, assault with snowballs snow fort and other competitions.

At 16:00 will be burning of "Sloppy Grandfather" as a symbol of all unkind. Actually it is a symbol of spring renewal, indeed Shrovetide marks the transition from winter to spring.

During Pyrohiv Shrovetide 2015 all craftsmen from across the country will present to visitors products of arts and crafts.
