After
9th
of March 2014 in Ukraine will be held Celebration the 200th Anniversary of Birth of Taras Shevchenko - Ukrainian poet, writer, artist and ethnographer which name is well known all over the world.
Presidential decree approved 2014 year - Year of Taras Shevcheko.
During 2014 Year of Taras Shevcheko will take place festivals, presentations and activities that contribute to the development of Ukrainian culture and unite all Ukrainians worldwide including numerous Ukrainian diaspora in the world.
During Celebration the 200th Anniversary of Birth of Taras Shevchenko following events will take place:
- Ukrainian Taras Shevchenko Forum 2014 "Love Ukraine!"
- Taras Shevchenko International Literary Congress
- State program "Taras Shevchenko House"
- Launching humanitarian project "Taras Shevchenko Reading"
- Publishing of complete edition of complete works of Taras Shevchenko in 12 volumes and "Taras Shevchenko Encyclopedia" in 6 volumes
- Publishing of collections of manuscripts of works, albums and letters of Taras Shevchenko
- Publishing of book "Kobzar" in foreign languages including English, German, French , Russian, Polish , Kazakh , Lithuanian, chronicles of the life and works of Taras Shevchenko, album of reproductions of art works of Taras Shevchenko, returned documents and materials related to the life and works of Taras Shevchenko
- International Festival of Choirs in Kaniv, Cherkasy region, Ukraine andrecording of choral works in the words of Taras Shevchenko
- Creating artistic and educational video-series about the life and works of Taras Shevchenko
- Repairing and restoration work at National Museum of Taras Shevchenko and its branches in Kyiv - Literary Memorial House of Taras Shevchenko and Memorial House of Taras Shevchenko
- Celebration the 200th Anniversary of Birth of Taras Shevchenko at the level of United Nations with International Taras Shevchenko Conference and inclusion in the calendar of memorable dates of UNESCO in 2014 celebrating of the anniversary of Taras Shevchenko
- State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine will provide broad coverage in the preparation and Celebration the 200th Anniversary of Birth of Taras Shevchenko.
