On 30th of August 2015 in Styr river near Staroselye village of Lutsk region was found ancient dugout canoe that is more than 500 years old.

The length of dugout canoe is about 12 meters, height - up to 1 meter, thickness of body is about 7-8 cm.

Director of Manevichi Historical Museum Petr Homich said that only after examination it will be possibile to say for sure how old this boat. The exact date of manufacture of dugout canoe will be able to identify only after the radiocarbon analysis which will last a certain time.

Found ancient dugout canoe was planning to transfer to Manevichi Museum where have found suitable premises for its storage and conservation.
