On 7th of March 2015 in Kherson was opened Kherson Museum of Folk Art - the first museum of folk art of regional significance which opened in the south of Ukraine.

By the opening of Kherson Museum of Folk Art 32 masters of Kherson, Belozersk, Velikoaleksandrovsk, Berislav, Tsyurupynsk areas and New Kakhovka were presented an exhibition of works of folk art. There are total of 220 exhibits in the museum.

There are presented paintings, embroidery, pottery, leather goods, decorative painting, paintings of natural materials, decorative dolls, decoupage, products made of polymer clay, wood carving, beading, painting glass, decorative ornaments.

Regional Union of Folk Artists "Dnipro Palette" on the basis of Kherson Museum of Folk Art plans to hold exhibitions, training workshops, master classes for people with disabilities.There will advise artists of all over Kherson region.

The existence of Kherson Museum of Folk Art is not only important to demonstrate the art of Ukrainian masters as well as organization "Dnipro Palette" has the opportunity to sell their works because all of them will definitely be in demand among tourists some in Kherson region in the near future there will be more.

Today the main task of Kherson region is to develop tourism infrastructure and the museum will be the hallmark of Kherson region.
