Championship of Ukraine of Sport Breeding Pigeons 2014 in Hanichesk |
In the championship were attended by more than 50 clubs from all regions of Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Moldova and Romania. Unfortunately due to situation on east of Ukraine did not come pigeon clubs from European countries. Henichesk received prestigious competition is not accidental - here is remained only one in Ukraine pigeon farm. The prize fund of Championship of Ukraine of Sport Breeding Pigeons 2014 was 1800 US dollars. Prize for the first place 1000 US dollars, second place - 500 US dollars and third place - 300 US dollars. The winner of the semifinal of the championship was Sergei Poltavets of Dniprodzerzhynsk. Another of his pigeon came third, in the second place is "Ternopil Pigeons Club". In the final day at 6 am from Smela, Cherkassy region swept away (420 km from Genichesk) 140 pigeons of competitors. Due to bad weather conditions the first winners expected in the late afternoon but in the past two days - none of pigeons back to Henichesk! Such situation never happened before. The usual case when lost of 10-20% of pigeons. But to all ... moreover in a radius of 400 km pigeons never seen. The organizers of Championship of Ukraine of Sport Breeding Pigeons 2014 guess that because of strong crosswind pigeons could carry through Moldova to Europe. Nevertheless after doves rest they must return to the launch site and then follow in Henichesk. Due to the force majeure situation it was decided to reveal the winners of the competition as a result of a quarter-finals and semi-finals.
