Wooden Church of Annunciation of Holy Virgin was built in 1709 in accordance with the inscription on the southern door in old babynets and now in the west part of the church: "Year of God, month of July, 1709, day 15".

At the same doorway is an inscription which contains name of the master-carpenter - "Yakiv from Sniatyn" that built the church. Interestingly the entrance to Wooden Church of Annunciation of Holy Virgin was in babynets from the south and also from the south was a door directly to the altar. The church repaired in 1765 and between XVIII - XIX centuries.

In 1845 at the initiative of Ivan Ozarkevych the church rebuilt through the efforts of master-carpenters Gregory Lehnik and Michael Loyvonyuk. Probably carpenters invited to conduct construction work one of the best masters of church building in Kolomiya region - Ivan Ravyuk of Ispas village who built more than 18 wooden churches.

Same time in Wooden Church of Annunciation of Holy Virgin created a new carved and gilded Rococo four-iconostasis replacing older one. Wall ornamental oil paintings created in 1944-1945.

In the early 1960's the church was closed. After examination of the church in 1968 it recognized the unique monument of sacral architecture of Hutsul type. Restored in 1980 and in 1983 in the building of the church opened Pysanka Museum.
