On 7th of December 2015 in Kirivohrad near Ukraine State Flight Academy was opened interactive Museum of Antonov An-24 - fully preserved aircraft.

The opening of the museum-aircraft was attended rector of Ukraine State Flight Academy Sergei Nedilko, hero of Soviet Union Yuri Kurliy who one of the first experienced Antonov An-24 in the sky, Alexander Halunenko - honored test pilot who made hundreds of world records.

This aircraft Antonov An-24 during its existence flown a lot and became the base pilot experiense for many professional pilots of Ukraine and other countries.

Museum of Antonov An-24 was conceived and created by all staff of Ukraine State Flight Academy. The main role in this process has brought Olga Kushnir. She has prepared needed documents and won a grant that financially supported repare works.

The first flight of airplane Antonov An-24 was in 1956.

Antonov's turboprop aircrafts are very popular in Africa and Asia countries where the most of their territory is desert. Modern turbojet aircrafts could not work well because sand in the air can damage the internal part of the turbine thereby increasing the cost of engine repairs. Turboprop aircrafts of Antonov Factory can work well with sand in the air and also can make takeoffs and landings from unprepared runways.

Prince Salman bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia confirmed there is a real need of Antonov aircrafts for passenger and cargo transportation in deserts of the country. Now in Saudi Arabia opened a factory for production of aircraft Antonov An-132.
