On 3rd - 8th of June 2013 in National Sport Complex "Olimpiyskiy" in Kiev, Ukraine will be held International Chess Tournament Sberbank Open 2013.

The program of this major chess event there are three tournaments - "A" (for top-level grandmasters), "B" (children's open) and "C" (for the employees of the Sberbank).

In the main top-level tournament "A" will play ten of chess world stars:
- former world champion Anatoly Karpov (Russia)
- Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria)
- two-time Olympic champion in the national team Pavel Elyanov (Ukraine)
- the world champion in rapid chess Sergey Karjakin (Russia)
- a contender for the world crown Peter Leko (Hungary)
- champions of their respective countries and winners of many international tournaments Anton Korobov (Ukraine)
- Alexander Areschenko (Ukraine)
- Eugene Tomaszewski (Russia)
- Arkady Naiditsch (Germany)
- Sergei Zhigalko (Belarus)
Grandmasters will play in the rapid chess round robin (9 rounds). Prize fund of the tournament "A" - 50 000 EUR.

In the children's classic chess tournament "B" will be attended by about 200 players (prize fund of the tournament "B" - 11 000 EUR) and in the rapid chess tournament Sberbank employers "C"- about 150 players (prize fund of the tournament "C" - 4 000 EUR) .

International Chess Tournament Sberbank Open 2013 also provides for simultaneous games grandmasters with the participants and specially invited guests.
