On 26th - 29th of September 2013 in Kiev, Ukraine will be held Festival Chervona Ruta 2013 at National Complex Expocentre of Ukraine - musical event which is measured by generations and creating the consciousness of Ukrainian musical culture. Since the first Festival Chervona Ruta in 1989 passed 24 years.

Festival Chervona Ruta 2013 will be held during the exhibition Ukrainian Music Fair 2013.

There will be seven final competitions from 26th to 28th of September 2013 and two gala-concerts of winners of the festival on 28th and 29th of September 2013.

The final competitions will take place simultaneously on three music stages.

Festival Chervona Ruta 2013 competitions will be in six most popular music genres:

• pop
• contemporary dance music
• acoustic
• rock
• other music
• authentic Ukrainian folklore which will be most participants - more than 600 people. This genre is represented by sub-genres:
  • singing - solo, duets, trios and group
  • ordinances
  • instrumental music - solo and group
  • kobza and lyre playing

Gala concert of the best performers in the genre of Ukrainian authentic folklore that will be presented in three ways: traditional folk singing (singing Ukrainian folk songs in an authentic old style singing), ritual ceremonies (calendar rituals, customs, youth gatherings and leisure) and folk instrumental music (playing traditional folk music in an authentic old style, kobza-lyre tradition). Folk performers are young people and children.

The most popular music stars of Ukraine have come with Festival Chervona Ruta.
