International cycling Race Horizon Park 2014 will take place in Kiev on 30th of May - 1st of June 2014 during the celebration of Day of Kyiv on the streets of the capital and will be a major sport event!

In 2014 participation of 19 teams have already confirmed in Race Horizon Park 2014: Wibatech Fuji Zory (Poland), CCN Metalac (Serbia), SP Tableware Pro Cycling Team (Greece), Team Vorarlberg (Austria), CK Banska Bystrica (Slovakia), Georgian National Team (Georgia), Tusnad Cycling Team (Romania), Bike Aid - Ride for Help (Germany), Azerbaidjan National Team (Azerbaijan), BDC - Marcpol Team (Poland), Amore & Vita (Ukraine-Italy), Scoala Sportiva Specializata de Ciclism (Moldova), Moldavian National Team (Moldova) and Ukrainian six teams - ISD Continental Cycling Team, "Promin", Kiev Region, Ukrainian National Team, Kolss Cycling Team and Kremenchuk. Registration is ongoing.

In past years Race Horizon Park 2014 attracts more than 150 000 spectators from around the world.

Besides professional competitions in the program of Race Horizon Park 2014 will be Ukrainian "Bicycle Day" for amateurs and children's race. And innovation of year 2014 - open city tournament cycling "Horizon Masters Cup" for amateurs.

Race Horizon Park 2014 History

Even during Soviet Union time cycling on Khreschatyk street in Day of Kyiv was one of the main attributes and holiday traditions performed with great resonance and mass audience. Many people remember the fatal cycling race which was held in 1986 on Khreschatyk street when Chernobyl tragedy nobody reported.

2008
Long period of time cycling on Khreschatyk street not conducted. In 2008 became the idea of revival of cycling race with a new name - Race Horizon Park turning ordinary competition of cyclists and amateurs to the level of professional athletes races.

2011
Ukrainian cycling Race Horizon Park recognized by international experts. Received the status of a categorical (1.2) and got to the calendar of International Cycling Union (UCI).

2012
New international status of Race Horizon Park was held at the highest level by confirmation of chief judge of International Commissioner (UCI) - Vladimiros Petsas.

2013
The organizers decided to hold two days races of full status and categorizing.

2014
International Cycling Union (UCI) confirmed three days of international bicycle Race Horizon Park 2014.
