On 8th - 9th of June 2013 in Oleksiivska fortress in Oleksiivka near Kharkiv in Ukraine will be held ethnographic Festival Oleksiivska Fortress 2013. The main event of the festival - reconstruction of historical battles and fighting tournament on swords of Ukrainian cossacks.

Guests of Festival Oleksiivska Fortress 2013 will be able to see and feel cossack era: observe life, old clothes, weapons and military camp.

Oleksiivska Fortress in the Ukrainian part of the defensive line built in 1731 by order of Empress Anna Ivanovna to protect the southern borders of Tartars. In total there are 16 fortresses located in the Kharkiv region.

Also at Festival Oleksiivska Fortress 2013 will present the exhibition of Ukrainian traditional culture, Ukrainian cuisine, folk art fairs and at night - cossacks disco.

Within Festival Oleksiivska Fortress 2013 will be held the opening series of the third phase of National Competition Cup of Trophy-Raid of Eastern Ukraine which involves Ukrainian best racing drivers.

Contests and entertainment for adults and children

Children's Village in the center of Oleksiivska fortress where animators working with children and entertaining sports.

The festival concert program will bring together the best creative music bands of Kharkiv region:

• Folk group "Murawski Shlyah" (Murawski Way)
• Folk music ensemble "Yarmarok" (Fair)
• Choreographic group "Chervona Kalina" (Red Cranberry)

13:00 - 15:30 - Trophy-Raid Race (competitions for off-road cars and jeeps) outside of Oleksiivska fortress
16:00 - Meeting of Festival Oleksiivska Fortress 2013 guests at the gates of Oleksiivska fortress. The grand opening celebration of the festival
16:30 - Review of the exhibition of village councils "City of Masters"
16:30 - 18:00 - "How Cossacks were at fortress" - concert with creative music and dance groups of Kharkiv region
