From 13th till 15th of September 2013 in Kamyanets-Podilskyi in Ukraine will take place Kamyanets-Podilskyi Festival Respublica 2013. Festival Respublica 2013 is a three days of music and street art festival in Kamyanets-Podilskyi Castle and Old Town.

The main idea of Festival Respublica 2013

• take art out of the gallery walls, museums, academies, and put it onto the city streets
• we do not agree with the format of “culture” imposed to us by TV and radio from with unspoken agreement of the state
• decommercialization of the public city space by means of attraction of modern street art
• less fences, private areas and supermarkets. More parks, art schools, music events
• the street culture and street education should not necessarily bear a negative shade
• who do you think grey and dirty streets and buildings can generate and bring up? But if they are transformed into picture galleries, the child who lives in these streets, will grow up a ifferent person at all
• our goal is to fill our streets with painting, music, dances and poetry
• Festival Respublica 2013 Anti-Money fest is conceived as the anticommercial festival action which aim is the concentration of attention on cultural and social problems of small cities as well as in the country in general
• the festival is the self-sufficient project. We do not have any businesses or political parties behind our back
• goal of the festival is to show that the present and qualitative

At Festival Respublica 2013 we want to create a big picture on the front of a 5-storey building that would become a symbol of the Festival Respublica and his ideas – to make the festival together on their own to change the city for the better. Picture help unite people who know and love Festival Respublica. Drawing will linked with the names of people who support this project.

In 2013 music bands of Kamyanets-Podilskyi Festival Respublica 2013: Sergey Babkin, SKAY, Louna, Leather Deer, Addis Ababa, Asea Sool, Jinjer, Flit, Dance Party! Dance! Dance!, Vorst, Ratbite, The Space Cakes, Prana and others.

Festival Respublica 2013 Events

Throw away your TV - get a ticket for festival! TVs are useless idiot boxex. So get rid of it now! The first 15 people who bring the TVs to a daylight stage will get a free ticket for the festival. Others will be able to buy them with 50% of discount. You can throw away your TVs directly on a dumper.

Eco-event on Festival Respublica 2013 Anti-Money Fest will be carried out during three days of the festival starting at 10:00 until 14:00. Its main aim is to clean up the trash from the canyone of the river Smotrych from trash. A couple of groups of volunteers captained by the bands-participants of the eco-action as well as organizers will together be cleaning the river canyon from the household plastic and garbage. This will become a bright example for residents of Kamyanets-Podilskyi and for the young generation.
