On 16th - 18th of January 2015 in Ivano-Frankivsk will take place Fair Drinking Mead 2015 to promote culture of consumption of honey, honey drinks and other health products of beekeeping.

In ancient mythology argued that ragweed "Food of the Gods" and nectar "Mead" allegedly bestowed eternal youth and immortality. Honey drinks have always been used as a therapeutic medicine.

As part of Fair Drinking Mead 2015 will be held drinking mead tasting, competition among producers of honey drinks and meeting-round table "Drinking mead - as customary heritage of Ukrainian people".

10:00 - registration of participants Fair Drinking Mead 2015 and providing samples of drinking honey to the competition jury | Conference Hall, Lesi Ukrainky St, 4.

10:00 - 18:00 - fair and tasting of drinking mead and other bee products | Dmitra Vitovskoho St.

12:00 - opening ceremony of Fair Drinking Mead 2015 (greetings of organizers and guests, ignition candles, carols of Cossack choir) | Dmitra Vitovskoho St.

14:00 - Ivano-Frankivsk sightseeing tour of historical center for guests and tourists.

17.01.2015

10:00 - continuation of Fair Drinking Mead 2015.

10:00 - 12:00 - registration of participants and providing samples of drinking mead. Press conference of management of NGO "Guild of Mead-Brewer of Carpathians" with authorities and media | Conference Hall, Lesi Ukrainky St, 4.

12:30 - start of work of tasting committee | Conference Hall, Lesi Ukrainky St, 4.

15:00 - meeting-round table "Drinking mead - as customary heritage of Ukrainian people" with media and leading industry experts - Peter Karpenko (1984-2004 - Chief Dietician of Ministry of Health of Ukraine), Vasil Solomko - honorary beekeeper of Ukraine (1993- 2009 - leading expert of Ministry of Health of Ukraine, member of National Union of Journalists of Ukraine).
