On 17th of May 2015 in Ivano-Frankivsk will take place European Cup Race Walking 2015. The organisation of the cup was granted by European Athletics Council.

The top walkers will represent 30 countries of Europe.

Track of European Cup Race Walking 2015 in Ivano-Frankivsk got the international certificate of AIMS and IAAF. The track in Ivano-Frankivsk on 28th of September 2014 measured by representative of AIMS Taduesh Dzhekonski. It was given the highest category - a category "A". Category "A" means that the track can be conducted international competitions of the highest level. The certificate is valid until 31 December 2018.
 
Circumference on the track of European Cup Race Walking 2015 is 1000 meters and the route will run on Independence street (Nezalezhnosti street) starting of cinema "Space" (Kosmos) to turn on Ivan Franko street.

The budget of European Cup Race Walking 2015 will be about 500 million euros, of which about 150 million euros - a contribution to Ivano-Frankivsk city council and the rest is to come from other sources.
