The visitator in 1766 noted that Wooden Church of St. Michael has there domes and over babinets was a separate altar. In 1936 began construction of a new stone church in neo-Ukrainian style by architect Eugene Nagorny and completed in 1938. Four-tiered Baroque carved and gilded iconostasis originates of 1669. South of Wooden Church of St. Michael there is a wooden bell tower built in 1722 as recorded in the inscription carved on the north jamb. It served as gate entrance to the church territory. It is the only wooden church in Turka region that retained its original beauty. |
