On 19th of December 2015 - 14th of January 2016 Ukrainian Railways prepare a special gift as Christmas Steam Trains for children in Kiev, Lviv and Kharkiv.

Kiev Christmas Steam Train

In Kiev the train will run on 19th of December 2015 - 14th of January 2016 at 11:00 - 13:57.

Children and parents will meet Santa Claus and during the trip will be special entertaining Christmas program.

Children of 6 - 14 years old travel by Kiev Christams Train for free.

Lviv Christmas Steam Train

On 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th of December 2015 and 2nd - 14th of January 2016 everyday at 13:30 at the first platform of Lviv Main Railway Station will start incredible journey of steam locomotive L-3535 which will operate the route Lviv - Bryukhovychi - Lviv.

Lviv Christmas Steam Train departure Lviv at 13:30 and arrive in Bryukhovychi at 13:50. On back way it depart at 14:25 and arrive to Lviv at 14:45. Thus the duration of holiday travel is around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

While driving in train cars that are decorated by pupils of Lviv Children's Railway passengers awaiting Christmas atmosphere and beautiful scenery and at Bryukhovychi Railway Station will be arranged Christmas theatrical performance.

During one Christmas trip train can carry up to 150 passengers.

Kharkiv Christmas Steam Train

On 19th of December 2015 at St. Nicholas Day at 14:00 will begin its first trip Kharkiv Christmas Steam Train. The train make four trips during four most important Christmas holidays: 19th and 26th of December 2015 and 2nd and 9th of January 2016.

During 40-minute trip starting Kharkiv central Station to Osnova Station young passengers will take part in competitions and entertainment, listen to sounds of Christmas tunes. Each child will get a little present of Santa Claus.

At the end of the trip children will visit Museum of Railway Equipment of Southern Railways.

Kharkiv Christmas Steam Train includes steam locomotive of 1954 that runs on coal and passenger car built 75 years ago.

Tickets for trains are available at ticket windows of Kiev Railway Station, Lviv Railway Station and Kharkiv Railway Station.
