On 28.08.2025 in Yaremche reopened the historical Restaurant Hutsulshchyna built in 1959 with a Menu of Traditional Carpathian Dishes collected by famous Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko.

The restaurant's dishes are a collection of recipes from Yevhen Klopotenko's gastronomic expeditions to the Carpathians. He traveled the mountains, talked to local grandmothers, listened to what and how food was traditionally cooked. He collected recipes from mountain villages where guests were served fierce cheese and Boyko delicacies prepared for holidays and fairs.

Menu of Restaurant Hutsulshchyna includes such traditional Carpathian dishes:

- Machanka
- Potato knish
- Dumplings with sauerkraut and feta cheese
- Potato graters
- Fuchki
- Hutsul carp
- Toucan
- Buryshnik
- Carpathian lard
- Hutsul-style marinated mushrooms
- Gazdivskaya sichennya
- Carpathian Bograch
- Grandmother borscht with dumplings
- Trout in sour cream with onions
- Classic deruny with sour cream
- Banosh from the polonina
- Hutsul-style rulka
- Wild boar dumplings
- Uzvar (stewed fruit compote)
- and more...

The bar proposes Ukrainian red and white wines as well as local pourings and tinctures, liqueurs, beer, coffee and tea.

The initiative to restore and reopen Restaurant Hutsulshchyna belongs to two Carpathian entrepreneurs - Igor Shtogrin and Andriy Bakay. The last one is connected to another themed folk-park project in Bukovel called Hutsul Land.

Restaurant Hutsulshchyna was built in 1956 according to the design of architect Ivan Bodnaruk. Kosiv craftsmen built the restaurant without a single nail which made the establishment famous and over the decades, famous politicians, artists and cultural figures have visited it.

Also the restaurant was well known for its evening live Carpathian music played by local artists with traditional instruments.

The restaurant is now open every day from 10:30 to 23:00 and you are welcome to visit it to taste what you could taste in Carpathians only!
