On 07.12.2025 in Kyiv it was announced that Kyiv UFO Building Restoration will soon reach the finish line according to an approved and coordinated project with cultural heritage protection authorities.

The main facade and volume of Kyiv UFO are not changed - everything that is subject to protection is preserved.

In parallel a project is being implemented to reconstruct adjacent buildings so they are combined into a single spatial ensemble through the development of the internal space - without interfering with the protected part.

As a result Kyiv UFO gets a second life as a modern public space: a concert hall, modern STEAM laboratories, Museum "Rodovid" (Museum "Pedigree") with the legacy of architect-author of Kyiv UFO Florian Yuryev.

Kyiv UFO or sometimes it called Kyiv Flying Saucer was built in the 1970s as the building of the Ukrainian Institute of Scientific and Technical Expertise and Information and now it is transformed into Ocean Mall shopping and entertainment center.

The unique shape of the Kyiv UFO creates a very nice audio effect inside of the building so the new Kyiv UFO Concert Hall will be a new unique place to visit for fans of classic and modern music.
