New Train Routes opened from Bratislava, Vienna and Budapest to Uzhhorod |
Train schedule: Train №617/964 Bratislava - Uzhhorod departs from Bratislava at 11:27 and arrives in Uzhgorod at 22:35. Train №961/618 Uzhhorod - Bratislava departs from Uzhgorod at 8:09 and arrives in Bratislava at 18:33. Train №143 Vienna - Budapest - Uzhhorod departs from Vienna at 10:42, arrives in Budapest at 13:19 and in Uzhhorod at 22:35. Train №146 Uzhhorod - Budapest - Vienna departs from Uzhhorod at 8:09, arrives in Budapest at 14:20 and in Vienna at 17:20. Tickets for trains Bratislava - Uzhhorod, Vienna - Uzhhorod and Budapest - Uzhhorod can be purchased via the application and website: https://booking.uz.gov.ua as well as on the websites of Hungarian Railways and Slovak Railways. Cost of one way train tickets: Bratislava - Uzhhorod: second class only - around 47 EUR Vienna - Uzhhorod: first class - around 74 EUR, second class - around 47 EUR Budapest - Uzhhorod: first class - around 38 EUR, second class - around 26 EUR With the introduction of a new schedule in December 2025 convenient connections with domestic trains including night trains will be provided. Uzhhorod became the first regional center of Ukraine to receive a direct Euro-gauge connection with EU countries thanks to a 22 km section of the Euro-standard 1435 mm gauge built from scratch between Chop and Uzhhorod. Already in 2026 it is planned to electrify this section and begin construction of the Eurorail in the direction of Lviv which should be completed by 2028-2029. Welcome to Uzhhorod and Transcarpathia!
