On 25.09.2025 in Bar, Ukraine was restored to working condition Classic Tractor Universal - a model of Soviet tractors that were produced from 1934 to 1955 based on the Farmall tractor under license from the USA concern International Harvester.

The restoration was an idea of Joseph Kibitlevsky who is the director of "Bar Profession College of Transport and Construction".

Classic Tractor Universal with the engine of 22 hp of Soviet agricultural machinery was silent for half a century and now it is running again - this is the third such tractor in Ukraine that was managed to bring back to life from the total number 211 500 tractors made.

Complete restoration of the classic tractor was done by teacher-engineers Vitaly Pampushko and Andriy Humenny and engineer from God Serhiy Glynyany.

A team of professionals performed a titanic amount of work including:

1. Restoration of the upper connecting rod head
2. Restoration of the lower connecting rod head
3. Boring of the T-40 type sleeve (diameter of 95-120 mm)
4. Welding of holes in the main supports of the cylinder block
5. Replacing the valve guide bushing
6. Processing of saddles (agricultural engine, 2 cylinders, 2 valves/cylinder)
7. Replacing valve bushings
8. Turning work (manufacturing valve bushings)
9. Grinding of crankshaft connecting rod journals
10. Restoration of camshaft bed
11. Surface surfacing with babbitt
12. Restoration of the seat under the sleeve with preliminary boring
13. Turning and milling work on the manufacture of the rear main bearing cover
14. Manufacturing of piston rings
15. Turning work (manufacturing of a connecting rod repair sleeve)
16. Turning work (manufacturing of a sleeve)
17. Coordinate-boring work
18. Block layout
19. Head layout
20. Grinding of the camshaft

The tractor that helped Ukrainian harvesters a hundred years ago has come back to life today!
