Kyiv Children's Railway Steam Locomotive Tours resume on 03.07.2022 |
For tourists and guests of Kyiv it is a great chance to ride by completey restored steam locomotive Gr-336 and enyoy railway rings of Kyiv Children's Railway. In 2019 the children railway was renewed and instead of Vishenka Station was created Kyiv Children's Railway Station - the smaller copy of Kyiv Main Railway Station. Gr-336 locomotive was built in 1951 at the Karl Marx Plant in Babelsberg (Germany) and was brought to Kyiv as reparations after the Second World War. In 2021 the locomotive was transfered for repairs to Snovsk Locomotive Depot in Chernihiv Oblast. Even during the occupation of Chernihiv Oblast, railway workers continued to carry out major repairs of the steam locomotive and now it will resume rides on the tracks of Kyiv Children's Railway. Kyiv Children's Railway Steam Locomotive Tours Schedule | 03.07 - 02.10.2022 Working time: each first and last Saturday and Sunday of a month as well as National Holidays Steam Locomotive operational time: 10:30 - 18:50 Kyiv Children's Railway Steam Locomotive Tours Dates: 03.07.22 - only this day the locomotive operational time is 09:00 - 18:00 In other days railway tours of Kyiv Children's Railway take place with help of dieasel locomotive TU7 from Thursday to Sunday - on weekdays: 10:30 - 17:10, on weekends: 10:30 - 18:50. Time of a train ride is 30 minutes. Passengers should come to Kyiv Children's Railway Station at least 15 minutes in advance or earlier. Welcome to enjoy a ride by steam locomotive!
