On 02.06 - 11.06, 24.06.2021 in Odesa will be held Odessa Classics Festival - international festival of classic music with participation of five orchestras, violinist Maria Solozobova, pianist Lucas Debargue and others.

Odessa Classics Festival will be held at:

03.06, 05.06, 06.06, 08.06, 09.06, 11.06.2021 - Odessa Regional Philharmonic
04.06.2021 - Traditional Open-Air at Potemkin Stairs
07.06.2021 - Green Theater

Five orchestras take part in this year's festival:

- National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine
- National Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra
- Zurich Chamber Orchestra with violinist Daniel Hope
- Brussels Symphony Orchestra
- Haifa Symphony Orchestra

The festival program pleases with loud names of soloists:

- baritone Matthias Goerne
- pianist Sebastian Knauer
- pianist Evgeny Kissin

A special event will be participation in the festival of outstanding contemporary writer Mikhail Shishkin (Switzerland) who with pianist Oleksiy Botvinov will present a literary and musical project about composer Sergei Rachmaninoff.

On 04.06.2021 a traditional large-scale and free for the public Open-air concert will take place at Potemkin Stairs with the participation of National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine conducted by Volodymyr Sirenko. Soloist - People's Artist of Ukraine Oleksiy Botvinov.

A special event of the festival will be the European premiere of a concerto for violin, piano and orchestra by one of the most famous composers of modern times Tan Dun (China - USA).

The concert was written especially for Odessa Classics festival and San Francisco New Century Orchestra and will be performed on 11.06.2021 by Zurich Chamber Orchestra with violinist Daniel Hope and pianist Oleksiy Botvinov.

Tang Dong is the winner of many prizes and awards, including GRAMMY, BAFTA and Oscar for music for film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" - based on this themes a new concert was written.

Several projects will be implemented within the framework of Odessa Classics Festival. The program of contemporary Ukrainian music includes five free concerts at Green Theater and Odessa Art Museum.

The following projects will be presented:
- project "Open Opera Ukraine" - "Musica Sacra Ukraine"
- ensemble "Alter Ratio" with a new program of music by Ukrainian composers Anthony Baryshevsky, Zoltan Almashi, Alexei Petukhov, writer Elena Andreychikova
- art exhibition "Nonconformists" in Museum of Western and Oriental Art (01.06 - 23.06.2021)
- Fourth All-Ukrainian Competition of Young Pianists named after Serafima Mogilevskaya in which about 30 young pianists aged 11-15 will take part (22.05 - 24.05.2021)
