Odesa Aviation Museum at Hydroport Airfield get two Yak-40 aircrafts |
These are the former aircrafts of airline "Odessa Airlines" last flew in 2008 and 2005 respectively. The new exhibits will take the most honorable place in the exposition of Odesa Aviation Museum which includes MiG-19PM, MiG-21UM, MiG-23ML, SU-9, SU-17M4P, L-29 Dolfin and L-39 Albatros. Odessa Airlines History Odessa Airlines was an airline based in Odessa International Airport (ODS), Ukraine with charter passenger services from Ukraine to destinations in Russia, Syria, Turkey and Germany. It also carried out agricultural works by aircrafts AN-2. The airline was established and started operations in 1996 as a part of Aeroflot and separated into an independent organization State Aircompany "Odessa Airlines" on 29 July 1996. On 20 August 2003 it changed the form of ownership and became Open Joint Stock Company "Odessa Airlines". The operation of Odessa Airlines was stopped in 2006.
