On 10.03.2021 on Holovanivsk - Rudnytsya Narrow Gauge Railway took place Train Tour by Steam Locomotive GR-280 by route Haivoron - Bershad and distance of ride about 25 km.

The event is created to demonstrate Ukraine tourist potential in Vinnytsia and Kirovohrad region (Kropyvnytskyi).

Steam Locomotive GR-280 was ride by the longest narrow gauge railway with track width of 750 mm in Ukraine which is originally was 130 km long and built around 1899.

Steam locomotives of "GR" series were manufactured in Germany from 1947 to 1956 as part of reparation of Soviet Union. In Ukraine there are only a few operating steam locomotives of "GR" series and one of them Steam Train GR-280 - in Haivoron, Kirovohrad region.

The organizers of the event want to draw public attention to the problems connected with closing of historical narrow gauge railways in Ukraine by Ukrainian Railways due to economical reasons.

Hope that in 2021 the new tourist train with Steam Locomotive GR-280 continue to carry passengers and tourists.
