After 22.05.2020 in Poltava Long-Range Aviation Museum will be open new exhibit Helicopter Mi-6A with possibility of cockpit visit for tourists and aviation enthusiasts.

Helicopter Mi-6A delivered from Konotop Aviation Repair Plant "Avіakon" and now fully assembled in Museum of Long-Range and Strategic Aviation.

Exhibit is made in 1973 and is a new basic modification of classic helicopters Mi-6.

It is the second helicopter in Ukraine which let visit the cockpit, the second one is in Konotop Aviation Museum - Mi-6AYA (Mi-22) air control point.

About Helicopter Mi-6A

Helicopter Mi-6A was the heaviest lifting helicopter in the world till 1980s with possibility to carry 12 000 kg of cargo inside the fuselage and 8000 kg for sling load.

From 1959 till 1980 were produced 926 helicopters Mi-6 of different modifications.

Length of the helicopter is 33.16 meters, height - 9.16 meters and width - 3.2 meters.
