On 14th of October 2019 in Zaporizhzhia will be held Pokrova na Khortytsia Cossack Festival on occasion of Pokrova Holiday, Day of Ukrainian Cossacks, Day of Defender of Ukraine and Liberation Day.

The venue of the festival is Khortytsia Island.

The events of All-Ukrainian Cossack Festival Pokrova na Khortytsia will have two locations and will take place on the territory of Zaporizhzhia Sich and at Cossack Circle.

08:00 - 10:00 - prayer service at Zaporizhzhia Sich Church conducted by Bishop of Zaporizhzhia and Melitopol Bishop Photius
10:00 - concert of Zaporizhzhiae Song and Dance Ensemble in Zaporizhzhia Regional Philharmonic
11:30 - 15:00 - performances of historical reconstruction group "Zaporizhzhia Sich Cossacks", Zaporizhzhya collectives "Kalina", "Zaporizhzhia Cossacks", "Bunchuk", "Harmony", "Cossacks-Zaporizhzhia" and students
14:00 - 15:00 - performance of Cossack martial arts school "Spas"

At 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 - separate performances of historical reconstruction group "Zaporizhzhia Sich Cossacks". Tickets are on sale.

09:00 - 16:00 - exhibitions of icons in the church of Zaporizhzhia Sich Historical and Cultural Complex and exhibitions of Orthodox crosses "Christian heritage of our land"

10:00 - 16:00 - fair of Ukrainian souvenirs, traditional Ukrainian clothes and many other interesting things. "Cossack Scribe" interactive and photo in Cossack age clothes. For children - animators, aquagrim, hairdresser "Hair - maiden beauty" (braid braids), children's workshop, interactive, game "Juryi"

11:30 - theatrical performance by actors of Academic Regional Ukrainian Musical and Drama Theater named after Volodymyr Magar
12:20 - concert with participation of professional and amateur groups of Ukraine and Zaporizhzhia region, collectives of national and cultural associations of the region and the city
