On 31st of August 2019 in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (IEV) opened Igor Sikorsky Monument - bronze statue of famous aircraft and helicopter designer with the model of his first helicopter №1 of 1909.

Igor Sikorsky Monument was created using modern technologies using 3D printer by project of sculptor Volodymyr Zhuravel.

The figure is made of bronze covered with a dark green patina and stands on a stylized granite hemisphere. Aircraft designer holds the helicopter model in his hands and helicopter blades are rotating under gusts of wind.

Total height of the monument with pedestal is 7.2 meters.

So now all guests of Kyiv who arrive and departure Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (IEV) could make selfies in front of the monument for good memories.

Igor Sikorsky first helicopter №1 was also recreated as mini-sculpture in project "Search" of tour guide Yuliya Bevzenko.
