On 11.01 - 14.01.2018 in Uzhgorod will take place St Basil the Great Day celebration - festival of wine, cheese, honey and traditional Transcarpathian dishes.

The feast dedicated to St Basil the Great Day will be accompanied by bright and colorful performances of vertepes and on Nezalezhnosti embankment about fifty participants will take part in the fair of wine, honey, cheese, farm products and delicious Transcarpathian herbs.

The festival will present wines of winemakers not only from Ukraine but also from abroad - Hungary, Romania and Poland. Also the event will join producers from Lviv, Poltava and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

Guests and tourists will be entertained on Teatralna Square where each festival day on the stage will take place various concert programs of professional and amateur music groups.

Official opening of St Basil the Great Day festival will take place on 12th of January 2018 at Teatralna Square at 12:00.

On 13th of January 2018 from 10:00 the holiday will be joined about 15 vocal ensembles and choruses from all regions of Transcarpathia who are participants of festival "Kolyady in the Old Village" will start on Teatralna Square with spectacular procession to Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life .

On the evening same day at 19:00 Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir will perform on the main stage with concert program "On Old New Year".
