On 12th of August 2018 in Odessa will start Sailing Regatta Black Sea Championship by route Odessa - Istanbul and 350 miles sailing race.

Participation in the sailing regatta has already been confirmed by professional yachtsmen and and sailing amateurs from Ukraine, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.

The race will be attended by sailboat ABN AMRO I of Volvo Open 70 class - the winner of worldwide ocean sailing regatta Volvo Ocean Race 2005 - 2006.

Sailing Regatta Black Sea Championship will be under international rules of handicap ORC and IRC.

The program includes short races in Gulf of Odessa and Bosporus and a route race of approximately 350 miles long.

During the race Bosphorus in Istanbul will be blocked for three hours for sailing regatta.

In Odessa and Istanbul racing towns will be opened where yachts and their crews will be based as well as tourists could visit them.
