On 2nd of September 2018 in Rakhiv will take place Hutsul Brynza Festival - the largest gastronomic festival-fair in Transcarpathian region.

The venue of the festival is Amphitheater "Berkut" in Rakhiv and timing from 08:00 till 22:00.

Traditionally the festival-fair begins with triambiate tunes, mandolin and drimbs, performances by musicians and singers.

Hutsul Brynza Festival has a key advantage - it demonstrates its authenticity, true traditions of Hutsuls, their craft, life and hospitality.

This year visitors of the festival will be waiting for presentation of products of Association of Producers of Traditional Carpathian Highland Cheeses whose members are engaged in production of Hutsul sheep brynza which is made from budzu. It is going to be presentation of promotional video about the brynza which will tell the whole history of production of unique cheese.

During the festival will be a competition for the best Hutsul sheep brynza according to methodology and with support of French experts. The purpose of the competition is to identify the best local producers and to honor their work.

Another highlight of the festival-fair will be master classes on preparation of non-traditional dishes from brynza by chefs of restaurants from Lviv.

Tourists and guests of the festival will have the opportunity to buy traditional cheese - brynza which is originally produced in Carpathian mountains, souvenirs, wares made from wool of sheep as well as taste Hutsul delicacies.
