Missile Train and Division Mobile Command Post came in Pobuzke |
Right now both objects are prepared by Museum of Strategic Missile Forces for visiting by tourists. At the moment it is possible to look at them from outside only and after the restoration in some time there will be a chance to enter inside. Missile Train consist of shunting locomotive, two passenger support railway cars (15T288 (VS-200), one railway car for liquid missile (8T712 (11-K651), special isothermal railway car (15T285) and one railway car for solid fuel missile (15T286 (VG-110). All railways cars are original and back from 1970s. It is interesting fact that railway car for liquid missile has only four pair of railways wheels and railway car for solid fuel missile - eight. It is all because of transportation of liquid missiles were done without the fuel that makes them lighter in weight compare to solid fuel missile that transported fully fueled. Isothermal railway car was part of the train because when transporting solid-fuel missiles it was necessary to maintain special conditions for air temperature, humidity and other microclimate parameters. The transfer of the necessary liquids and gases from the isothermal railway car to the missile railway car was with help of flexible connecting hoses. One of railway cars presented in the museum is railway car 15T286 (VG-110) that was used for transportation of solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missiles 15ZH60, 15ZH61 (РС-22А, РС-22В, SS-24 "Scalpel"). The feature of the car was the absence of a sliding frame and instead of it there were stationary supports. On some subsequent modifications a sliding frame was mounted in the car for fastening the transported missiles. The train for transporting solid-fuel missiles consisted of an isothermal section 15T285 with control panel 15N622M of control and signaling of isothermal railway cars, 2 or 4 isothermal railway cars 15T286 (VG-110, maximum load capacity 115 tons), railway car for component parts 15T287 and support railway car 15T288 (VS-200). Another railway car in the museum is 8T712 (11-K651) with maximum lifting capacity of 41 tons was used for transporting the first stage of R-7 Semyorka (8K71, SS-6 Sapwood). Missile Division Mobile Command Post is mobile reserve command post of missile division 15V119 "Vibor". It was designed to launch missiles from launchers, issue orders for launching missiles to command posts of missile regiments and missile divisions, improve stability of management of units and subunits of missile division. At the moment in Museum of Strategic Missile Forces there are five vehicles of mobile reserve command post of missile division 15V119 "Vibor" and soon more of the vehicles will come on their own to the museum and become a part of the exposition. In 15V119 "Vibor" there were 22 vehicles of equipment (including 19 combat and 3 special vehicles) and 107 service soldiers (20 officers, 22 warrant officers and 65 soldiers / sergeants). Missile Division Mobile Command Post consists of such departments: 1st department - Combat Control Department: - combat control vehicle (MBU), 15V129 2nd department - Satellite Connection Department: - satellite communication station P-440O "Kristall" on chassis of Ural-375E (Ural-43203) 3rd department - Military Support Department: Missile Division Mobile Command Post 15V119 "Vibor" Specifications The possibility of launching in the RBU: - in HF range - 1500 km Museum of Strategic Missile Forces in Pobuzke invite you to visit new and unique exposition!
